How To Remove BMW Coupe Door Panel: BMW driver’s door panel is held in place with three torx screws and plastic clips around door panel.

Remove center door trim to gain access to torx screws. Bmw driver’s door panel center trim on 3 series does not have screws; it has plastic clips, its a push-in type (image below).
How To Remove BMW Door Panel
Start on outer side with a screwdriver and work your way inwards until it is released. Slowly, these things are fragile and crack easily.
Once door trim is removed, screws become accessible. Remove all three torx screws T20 (red arrows). Blue circles show door trim clip locations.
There are only clips holding door panel in place after screws are removed. Use a screw driver to unclip door panel by prying it out. Start from outer lower corner of door frame and work your way all around it until all bottom and side clips are released.
After side and bottom clips are free, pull door panel to release top clips. Be careful, do not pull to hard (or too far) as there wires and door latch cables still connected to door panel.
How To detach BMW Door Latch
Unplug all electrical and stereo connectors and release door latch cable. Latch cable can be disconnected from either door handle (located on door panel) or door latch on door frame.
Easier to disconnect it from door latch, door handle connection breaks very easily. To release latch cable just pull down on it (red arrow, image above) and will comes out.

How To Remove BMW Coupe Door Panel: If you have a problem with window switch unit only, there is no need to remove BMW driver’s door panel. Remove window switch by prying it out a screwdriver without removing panel itself.
Installation: Is reversal of removal. Just check door panel clips before installing and align them properly before pressing them in.
