Unplug ignition coil electrical connectors (image below). Press ignition coil plug release tab and unplug it.
If coil electrical connector plug is seized on ignition coil body, carefully use a flat screwdriver as a lever to remove it. Unplug all four ignition coil plugs.
Ignition coils are held in place with 8mm bolts. Remove 8 mm coil bolts and lift ignition coils out of engine head.
Use 16mm spark plug socket and ratchet to remove old spark plugs.
Spark plug replacement should be done on a cold engine, easier to remove old spark plugs when engine is cold.
Spark Plug Installation
Apply anti-seize compound or grease on spark plug threads. Use only extension and spark plug socket to install new spark plugs initially, Do Not use a ratchet. Place a spark plug on spark plug socket and thread spark plug on engine head opening as much as you can by hand only. Repeat same procedure on other spark plugs.
After spark plugs are installed by hand, use ratchet to tighten them. Do not over tighten, spark plugs have a crush washer and usually takes less than one full turn to fully tighten them with a ratchet after hand tightening.
Install ignition coils. Line up ignition coil bolt hole with engine hole and press coils in. Install 8mm ignition coil bolts and tighten them. Plug ignition coil electrical connectors.
Start your car and leave it running for a minute or so, to check engine operation.
