How to Install Battery Chevrolet Cruze: Old battery has already been removed. You can read here on (How to remove) Chevrolet Cruze battery.
Remove keys from ignition while doing this. When the power is connected and keys are in ignition a sudden power surge might burn fuses…or worse, a control unit or computer.
Tools: a 10mm and 13mm open wrench or a socket and a screwdriver.
Check both battery terminal connector clamps. If you see any oxidation or rust, use a wire brush and water to clean them.
How to Install New Battery Chevrolet Cruze
Move all wires out of the way first so they don’t interfere when you install new battery. Place battery with power (+) terminal towards engine firewall. Push battery all the way forward and make sure is sitting properly and flat.
Start with power box or positive/ground battery terminal clamp. Install power box and upper battery holding bracket, do not connect negative ground cable yet.
Ground terminal should be disconnected first on battery removal and connected last when installing a new battery.
How to Install Battery Chevrolet Cruze: Tighten all bolts on power box (red arrows). Install forward plate (green arrow). Push the plate until it clips in place. Install battery bracket and tighten 10mm bracket bolt.
Connect ground or negative wire to battery terminal, tighten negative battery clamp 10mm bolt and you are done. Apply grease on both battery terminals when finished. Grease will help prevent oxidation of battery terminals or battery clamps from humidity.
