How To Remove Lexus RX Door Panel
How To Remove Lexus RX 350 Door Panel: Door panel is held in place by two Philips screws and a series of clips around door panel edges. Requires few tools to accomplish and probably less than 30 minutes.
2010 Lexus RX 350 Door Panel Removal
Start by removing door switch panel. Use a flat screwdriver or preferably a plastic prying tool to avoid scratches and pry switch assembly out carefully.
Once switch assembly is out unplug electrical connectors and remove Phillips screw (picture above, red arrow).
There is a second screw on door handle. Use a flat screwdriver to open screw cover and remove screw (image below).
How To Remove Lexus RX Door Panel
Use a flat screwdriver around the edges of door panel to release panel clips. Start from outer lower part of the door placing screwdriver between door panel and door frame to release clips. Work your way around door panel until all clips are detached (picture below).
With door panel clips released lift door panel up and away from frame. Do not pull too far as there are other things connected to door panel from inside.
Unclip both door cables, lift base of cable up and release ball tips from handle hooks. (red arrows/picture below)
Unplug light and speaker electrical connections. Remove panel away from the door.
How To Remove Lexus RX Door Panel: Installation is pretty much reversal of removal. Just be careful panel clips are fragile and will break very easily. Make sure to align panel clips on door frame holes properly before pressing them in.
