Step 1: Remove key blade from fey fob, press button and pull blade key out of key fob.
Step 2: Place screwdriver between battery lid and key fob. Gently pry out battery cover and release it from key fob.
Step 3: Remove battery from key fob. Place screwdriver on battery edge and push it out its place.
Step 4: Replace old battery with a new one. Notice polarity, battery positive (+) side is up. Place new battery on top of battery slot and press it in.
Step 5: Close battery lid and insert key blade back in place. Check operation of key fob, it should work normally now. When closing battery cover, first insert bottom clip and then press firmly until cover clips in place.
Battery type for Ford Fusion is CR2450. As we said previously, you dont have to do any reprogramming. Key fob should work normally after you replace battery.
