How To Remove Subaru Forester Door Panel
How To Remove Subaru Forester Door Panel: Removal of Subaru driver’s door panel takes no more than 30 minutes. 2015 Subaru Forester, tools needed: flat and philips screwdriver.
Start by lowering window glass all the way down, not necessary to do this but its easier with window glass down.
Subaru Forester door panel is held in place by 2 philips screws and plastic clips all around door panel. Use a flat screwdriver to remove cover at door handle (image below) and take out the screw.
How To Remove Subaru Forester Door Panel:
Remove cover on door pull handle trim with a flat screwdriver (image below).
Remove top and bottom screws of door pull handle (image below).
Unclipping door panel from door frame: Insert a flat screwdriver between door panel and door frame, start at bottom as it’s easier. Once you hear it unclip proceed to do the same all around edges of door panel until door panel is free. Lift door panel upwards to remove it.
How To Remove Subaru Forester Door Panel: There are 3 electrical connectors, two connectors plugs for window master switch and one at bottom of door panel for convenience light. Unclip master switch connections; press on center tab and pull at same time, same goes for convenience light.
Door cables: door lock cables are held in place by 2 metal balls locked in sockets.
Unclip by pulling on plastic cable collars (green and white) upwards and free cables from sockets. Door panel now is completely free and can be removed.
Installation is reversal of removal. Just be careful to align door panel clips to door panel before pressing them in place
